I also wonder if it's a psychological/physical thing. It's kind of like when you eat something that makes you sick, you tend not to want to eat it again. That's for good reason. It's your body's response to say "Hey! That thing is bad. It might be poisonous. Don't eat it." The eye doctor's office probably smelled similar to the place you had your hepatitis shot. The smell alone could have brought back some sort of body memory thing that said "HEY! You've got bad stuff in your system...YOU SHOULD PUKE IT OUT!" I dunno.
